National Museum of Riyadh

The National Museum of Riyadh has become a national symbol, which contributes towards enriching the culture of Saudi Arabia. The National Museum spreads over an area of 17,000 km and on the eastern side of King Abdul Aziz Historic Center. The total area of the two-storey of National Museum occupies a total of twenty eight thousand square kilometers. The museum offers a modern kind of educational environment and has different levels for each community.

The interiors of the Riyadh National Museum provide an interesting insight into the past and present conditions of the region. There are various types of manuscripts, documents, antiques and display boards, which present a remarkable site of an erstwhile era.

There are eight exhibition halls in the National Museum of Riyadh, which cover different themes like the First and Second Saudi State, The Arabian Kingdoms, The Unification of the Kingdom, Islam and the Arab Peninsula, Man and Universe, The Hajj, The Arabian Kingdoms, Prophet Mohammad’s Mission and Two Holy Mosques. The specialty of each of these halls lies in the fact that all of them have their uniqueness features.

The National Museum at Riyadh is open from 9 am to 12 pm and from 4 pm to 9 pm on all weekdays.
